
The Oral Type

The defining quality of the Oral Type is a sense of underlying neediness. It is not consciously felt in its entirety. But like a black hole in the background of our mind, it regularly exerts its presence, causing us to feel like we just “need something” to be okay. This might take the form of food, of attention, or new things, or drugs or cigarettes. But however it manifests, there is a sense of compulsion to it. Our behaviour is that of neediness, even though easily accept it.
Oral Types also tend to fixate on connection. They end up not holding safe boundaries for themselves through staying open to people and situations to which they actually need to close off. Often, they can be prone to depression and narcissism.
In this five-module online course, you will learn all about the Oral Type in simple, down-to-earth language. And you will learn how you can progressively take back control of your life from this underlying sense of being needy, through body-based therapy exercises.
Each module consists of four separate components.
- Firstly, there’s a brief, written theoretical element, explaining an aspect of the Oral Character Type in clear, simple language.
- Secondly, there’s a Workout Introduction video, which shows you exactly how to do this module’s workout and explains its psychological significance.
- Thirdly, there’s a Workout video that you simply put on and follow along to. The Workout video needs to be completed 7 times on separate days before you move on to the next module. You can tick off each day as you complete it.
- Finally, when you’ve completed all the elements in a module, there’s a “You Did It!” video where I celebrate and big you up for completing. Don’t miss that bit!
